Main Window is the chief user interface provided to manage the Xtend IVR. The function key F9 reloads the application, which is ready to be executed, into the IVR. The major components of the Main Window are distinguished below.

Xtend IVR Icon

Brings about the system menu. You can also right click on the Title bar or press the hotkey Alt + <Space> to generate the same.

Display Area

Shows the list of currently active TAPI devices. This provision in developer edition could be used to monitor each channel and track the call progress by inserting 'display' command at the appropriate places in the script.

Enable/Disable Xtend IVR

Press this button to hang-up the active connecting lines and suspend currently executing script. Xtend IVR won’t accept any new connection in the disabled state as shown below.

To establish a new connection press the button again. The script execution will resume.

View Log

View LOG file shows the log file for the active application script. If it cannot be loaded, then it shows the system log file. Xtend IVR maintains separate log files to store the history of events occurring during the execution of the script. Each script will have its own log files. This file is kept in the "Logs" folder in script directory. A separate log file viz., the system log file, is kept for noting the activities taking place on each day. The naming convention for this file is yyyymmdd in digits. For example, the log file for 29th June 2000 will be 20000629. The LOG command writes the status of the operation of script into the log file. Hence by examining these logs periodically, we can understand what went wrong & where, during a system failure. When you click this button it will bring forth a window showing the contents of the current application log file. Press Ctrl key and View Log button together to bypass the dialog box and view the system log file directly.

User Button

This is a user-defined button and will execute the program defined by the user in the configuration (xivr.ini) file. For more information, please refer the section Advanced Settings.
